Opening Times

The Castle is open daily from 10am to 5pm and entry is free. From late October to early spring we close one hour earlier at 4pm.

Access Information

We offer two designated disabled parking bays adjacent to The Castle building. These are subject to availability and are free of charge. Wheelchair and mobility buggy users can gain access to both the ground floor and first floor (via the fully accessible lift), however, if visiting independently, assistance with our doors may be required.

Please email us or call us on 01288 357300 if you wish to arrange assistance in advance of your visit.

We welcome assistance dogs throughout the building. In addition, our decking area outside Café Limelight is family dog-friendly too, with shaded areas and water bowls available.

Our Heritage Centre has hearing loops available to use.

Our fully accessible toilet facilities are situated on the ground floor and include a baby changing table.
