‘From Bruges to Bude’ with Robert Crisp
An exhibition of recent paintings inspired from travels at home and abroad by West Country artist Robert Crisp. Robert classes himself as an English traditional painter and his inspiration comes from nature or the urban landscape, capturing the atmosphere, seasons and light. ‘Caught in the Light’ with Paul Seed
Born in Bideford and having followed a successful career as a director of TV dramas, including winning two BAFTAS, Paul now gets enormous pleasure exploring the purer creative world of still photography. He is as stimulated by a dramatic West Country seascape as he is photographing some lonely figure on the streets of London’s Soho. He has a great fondness for B&W but admits to being very happy working in colour when it would seem eccentric not to! Our exhibition takes place in The Blanchminster Room. Free Entry.

‘Growing creative and always learning’ with Cornwall Adult Education
The work in this exhibition shows the vast diversity of styles and disciplines, skills and talents of learners at The Gregson Centre. The Gregson Centre offers a wide range of creative courses including drawing and painting ceramics, fashion, glasswork, jewellery making and printmaking, providing a friendly and supportive learning environment. ‘Tactile and Textile’ by Penny O’Connor and Botanical Tiles
Inspired by the seascapes, landscapes and wildlife of Cornwall, comes a selection of works created by textile artist Penny O’Connor whilst Jess Harrington of Botanical Tiles, specialises in sculptural botanical reliefs, inspired by seasonal Cornish wild flora. ‘Paintings and Prints’ with Dave King
An exhibition of new paintings and prints, including new ideas, re-mastered pieces and a series of shaped ‘canvases’, where external boundaries are determined by the internal geometry. the Cubists did not allow the landscape to impose itself on them as an organised set of forms, but instead consciously imposed their own ideas upon the landscape.
