Tour Of The Barge Workshop

Situated just off the A39, opposite The Weir, The Barge Workshop houses a number of items relating to Bude’s industrial heritage. 

The building itself is of great historical significance.  Originally, it would have been where cargo would have been transferred from barges onto tub boats to begin the next part of the journey along Marhamchurch inclined plane. 

Unfortunately, during this Covid-19 period, the workshop is not yet open to the public but we very much hope it will be back in full operation during the 2021 Summer Season.
